The Battle on the Cape took place the weekend of December 6-7, as the Viking Cue 9-Ball Tour was presented by Miller Lite at Diamond Billiards Sports Bar & Grill in Cape Coral, FL. In the open division, John Foster double-dipped Glen Olson in the finals to take first place, while local player David Eytcheson Jr. took home top honors in the amateur division.

A total of 84 players came out to battle for their share of the $6,175 prize fund. In the open division, Foster began his trek to first with a bye, and then he proceeded to defeat Michael Penna 9-5, Mario Cruz 9-6, and Louis Altos 9-4 before being sent to the one-loss side by Olson 9-6 in the match for the hot seat. Foster won his way back to Olson by defeating Anthony Meglino in the semifinals and then double-dipped Olson 9-7 in set one and 9-4 in set two to take first place.
 
Olson began his journey in the bottom of the brackets by defeating David Eytcheson Jr. 9-4, Hunter Lombardo 9-5, Anthony Meglino 9-7, and Trey Jankowski 9-5 before winning the hot seat from Foster.
 
David Eytcheson Jr. of Cape Coral, FL, won the Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour in the first set of the double-elimination finals. Eytcheson Jr. went undefeated to take first place.  He began his journey by defeating Valerie Dukich 5-2, Jose Ybarra 5-1, Chris Truax 5-4, Kim Dyer 5-4, Todd Vail 5-1, Shaun Jones 5-2, and Curtis Kelley 5-3 in the finals.
